Tennis Court & Pitch Maintenance Moss

Time to get the dreaded Moss off your Tennis Courts or Astro Turf Pitch. Tennis Court Maintenance is where we start if your a Tennis Club or a Sports Club your surfaces are being more widely used tough out the year whether they are Artificial Grass Tennis Courts or Tar Macadam Tennis Courts this is great as foot fall is one of the best things for sports surfaces.

But this more often than not doesn’t stop Moss On Tennis Courts forming along the base of the Tennis Net and along the fence line and especially in the corners of the Tennis Court this is for the obvious reason that there is no foot fall in that area and the Tennis Court Surface is being feed by the moisture dripping down from the net and fencing.

Tennis Court Maintenance it is more about hand work and mechanical brushing at different speeds hi and low and Heavy Drag Brushing for De-Compaction and flexible floor scraper works well for removing the main bulk of the Moss on the Tennis Court and by blowing off the Tennis Court you have a good starting point so the Mechanical Brushing can take place.

Macadam Tennis Court Maintenance Moss problems are very similar the foot fall areas on the Tennis Court the growth of the moss is stunted but once again the net and fence line is more of an issue. Once again flexible floor scrapers to get the bulk of the heaver moss up and then blow the whole area off again so you have a good starting point for the Mechanical Brushing to begin this should be done from all four directions to get the maxim amount of debris out the Macadam Tennis Surface and blowing off the surface again then the Chemical Tennis Court Treatment is done but depending on were the Tennis Court is situated Chemical Treatments mite be done 2-3 times a year.

Tennis Court Deep Cleaning all of the above plus flushing the Macadam Tennis Surface through with a Whiraway and a lance it is essential that you start off on a lower pressure to assess the surface it is a fine line between flushing the surface through and blowing the surface this why you should leave it to the professionals at Artificial Turf Care
